Yvette Herrell Continues to Try to Hide Her Anti-Abortion Stance from Voters

MAGA Candidate Minces Words to Local Paper in Another Attempt to Hide Her Record from New Mexicans

Last week, Yvette Herrell, GOP candidate for New Mexico’s Second Congressional District, tried to hide her extreme anti-abortion position from voters yet again when questioned by The Santa Fe New Mexican. Herrell falsely told the paper that Gabe Vasquez’s latest ad misrepresents her stance in another attempt to run from her anti-choice record.

But Herrell can’t hide that she’s on video saying she wishes New Mexico “eliminated all abortion” and even co-sponsored the Life at Conception Act which would have banned all abortion, even in cases of rape, incest, or the life of the mother. Herrell’s also recently been caught red-handed removing all mentions of abortion from her website, which used to describe her as “100% pro-life.”

“Yvette Herrell knows that her opposition to abortion rights stands in stark contrast to most New Mexicans, which is why she continues to mince words to hide her extreme record and plans to ban abortion,” said Democratic Party of New Mexico Spokesperson Daniel Garcia. “As much as Yvette Herrell continues to hide her record from New Mexican voters, she can’t hide the fact that she’s still as staunchly anti-abortion as she’s ever been.”

As Gabe Vasquez’s ad points out, Herrell’s record and plans to rip away abortion rights are clear, as voters will remember come November.
