A Second Trump Term Would Be Even More Dangerous for Hispanic Communities
With so much at stake for Hispanic communities this November, here’s a reminder that Donald Trump’s racist past proves he would be an absolute disaster for immigrants and New Mexico’s Hispanic communities. No doubt about it, Trump would enforce an agenda even more extreme and dangerous than his first term if given the chance.
Democratic Party of New Mexico Communications Director Daniel Garcia Released the Following Statement (English and Spanish versions below):
“Every chance he gets, Trump demonizes and attacks immigrants, even saying they’re ‘poisoning the blood of our country.’ If he gets his way, Trump will separate families, build mass detention camps, and round up immigrants – all while doing absolutely nothing to secure our border or make our communities safer.
“The choice this November is clear. While Trump drives hate and division, President Biden is delivering for Hispanic communities: creating jobs, lowering costs, expanding access to health care, working to fix our broken immigration system, and defending our freedoms.”
Donald Trump was a disaster for Hispanic communities – and he wants to double down:
● Donald Trump attacks and demonizes immigrants and says they are “poisoning the blood” of our country.
● Trump has promised to rule as a dictator on “day one” and plans to do just that by implementing an inhumane immigration agenda of mass deportations and building detention camps – all after killing a bipartisan deal that would have reformed America’s immigration system while securing our border.
● Trump’s tax scam made sure that the richest 1% received a tax cut 281 times greater than what the average Hispanic family received – and he wants to expand it.
● Trump recently doubled down on his commitment to repealing the Affordable Care Act, saying that he would “never give up” despite the law leading to historic coverage increases. If he’s successful, over 330,000 people in New Mexico, including thousands of Hispanics, could lose health coverage.
● Trump has promised to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act, which would raise health insurance premiums and insulin costs.
