Debate Will Show Two Different Visions for New Mexico
DPNM on what New Mexican viewers can expect to see at tonight’s debate
During tonight's presidential debate, viewers can expect to hear two contrasting visions for the future of the country, including New Mexico. Joe Biden will continue to fight to protect our freedoms and ensure all Americans have a fair shot. Meanwhile, Trump will make it clear that he would attempt to serve as an egotistical dictator, give tax cuts to corporations and the ultra-wealthy, and attack reproductive rights.
Ahead of the presidential debate, Democratic Party of New Mexico spokesperson Daniel Garcia released the following statement:
“Viewers will see President Biden highlighting accomplishments like lowering everyday costs and creating new jobs, including almost one hundred thousand here in New Mexico. No matter what Trump says, we know that abortion rights would be in constant jeopardy if he were to get another term and would cut taxes for the ultra-wealthy and corporations.
“During his presidential term, Trump already attacked abortion rights, sent inflation skyrocketing, and shook trust in our democracy to its very foundations. Given Biden's economic accomplishments and commitment to standing up for abortion rights and restoring the protections of Roe nationally, New Mexicans are certain to reject Trump's message of revenge and divisiveness yet again, as we already have twice.”
