No-Answer Nella Hides From Her Move from Waterfront Property in CT to Mansion in NM "A Few Years Ago

“Domenici’s campaign did not respond to a list of questions about her residency”

Nella Domenici, the multimillionaire former hedge fund executive who left New Mexico 50 years ago and has “spent much of that time working and living in Connecticut and New York,” is facing additional scrutiny about “having lived in Connecticut until just a few years ago,” but—surprising no one—is again refusing to respond to questions.

Despite owning a property in Santa Fe for a number of years, Nella has admitted she only recently moved back to the state—after being recruited by Mitch McConnell and the extreme national GOP to run for office—and now claims the multi-million dollar Santa Fe vacation house as her home. But the timing and status of her move hasn’t been clear.

According to Connecticut Insider and the Connecticut Secretary of State’s Office, Domenici’s voter registration “was updated in 2019 to reflect that she had moved out of state.” But, “both Domenici and her husband continued to make federal political contributions from their address in Stamford until October 2022.”

“Nella Domenici might use a Santa Fe address now that it’s politically convenient, but that doesn’t change the fact that she’s been absent from New Mexico for half a century,” said Democratic Party of New Mexico Spokesperson Daniel Garcia. “Her priorities are still tied to the multimillion-dollar East Coast properties she left behind. New Mexicans deserve a leader who understands the challenges and issues we face, not someone who just moved back for political convenience.”
