NM Democrats Thrilled by VP Harris’ Selection of Gov. Walz as Running Mate

Unlike “Weird” JD Vance, Governor Walz Adds Tremendous Value to Party’s Ticket

Today, the Democratic Party of New Mexico released the following statement in response to Kamala Harris’ selection of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate:

“New Mexico Democrats could not be more thrilled by Vice President Harris’ selection of Tim Walz as her running mate. Governor Walz has been a champion for working and rural Minnesota families, qualities which add relatable life experience and perspective to Harris’ campaign in New Mexico.

“We are proud of Kamala Harris for listening to our diverse Democratic Party throughout a thorough selection process that included numerous highly qualified candidates. Governor Walz will be a tremendous asset not just to our Democratic ticket but even more importantly, to our country as the next Vice President.

“Convicted criminal Donald Trump is already running scared, and now that he has to run against Governor Walz, who has already successfully gotten under his skin for pointing out the “weird” views and behaviors of Trump and his radical running mate, we know that the Trump/Vance ticket will devolve into even further crisis. Whereas Trump and Republicans have already distanced themselves from the liability to their party that has been weird JD Vance with his odd views on the personal lives of women, single people, and almost every other American, Democrats are excited to uplift Governor Walz’s experience and capabilities on the campaign trail.”
