Debate Makes it Clear-Biden Deserves Second Term
Trump shows America why he can’t be trusted with the presidency
From highlighting historic infrastructure improvements to protecting fundamental abortion rights, President Joe Biden showed tonight that he continues to deliver landmark achievements that directly benefit New Mexican families and deserves another term.
The Democratic Party of New Mexico released the following statement in response to tonight’s debate:
“From rebuilding infrastructure to protecting fundamental abortion rights, President Biden continues to deliver landmark achievements that directly benefit New Mexican families. Where Donald Trump wants to take us backward, President Biden has a clear vision for the future.
“Another Trump term would focus on revenge and only compound divisiveness. With his criminal record and disastrous term which included tax handouts for the ultra-wealthy, setting off runaway inflation, trying and failing by just one vote to eliminate the Affordable Care Act, and claiming responsibility for eliminating the protections of Roe v. Wade, Trump reinforced tonight that he is too extreme to be trusted with the presidency.”
“Trump already lost New Mexico by 8% in 2016 and 11% in 2020, and New Mexico Democrats are ready to do our part to ensure Trump loses yet again. New Mexicans value abortion rights and a fair economy and denounce extremism and racism, and that will be evident when voters choose to reelect Joe Biden come Election Day.”
