47 Days and Counting, Nella’s Still Ducking Accountability

If “No-Answer Nella” Thinks She Can Coast Through this Senate Race on Her Name Alone, She’s Wrong

47 days after announcing her campaign, “No-Answer Nella” continues to dodge every opportunity to do an interview and refuses to tell New Mexicans where she stands on critical issues like abortion rights

Trying to counter her campaign’s reputation of ducking accountability, Nella published an op-ed in the Albuquerque Journal over the weekend. Even in her op-ed titled, “New Mexico needs a moderate bipartisan senator like my dad,” Nella alluded to issues facing our state while failing to provide readers with a single concrete idea about how to solve them.

While she referenced her family, distant professional connections to New Mexico and her time serving in various East Coast boardrooms, noticeably absent from her op-ed was any real substance about what she’d do if elected to the Senate.

“While it’s clear that Nella thinks her last name is qualification enough to run for Senate, New Mexicans demand to know what she’ll actually do if she’s elected,” said Daniel Garcia, Democratic Party of New Mexico Spokesperson. “Although Nella may have been born in New Mexico, the fact of the matter is that she chose to build her life and career on the East Coast. Come November, New Mexicans won’t be impressed by Nella’s Wall Street connections, last name, or ability to self-fund her campaign, but will remember that she ducked accountability for as long as possible.”

Nella even misspelled Santa Teresa as “Santa Theresa” in her op-ed. Just goes to show how well she knows New Mexico.
