Nella’s New Ad Offers Absolutely Nothing New

Multimillionaire Candidate’s Campaign Continues to Ignore Troubling Record at World’s Largest Hedge Fund

Nella Domenici, multimillionaire former hedge fund executive and second senior official of Bridgewater Associates to run for U.S. Senate this year, began airing her second TV ad today. The ad offers voters no new information about where she stands on issues important to New Mexico as she continues to avoid her troubling business record.

“Nella’s latest ad is another misleading attempt to distract from her troubling record as Chief Financial Officer of Bridgewater Associates and history of fighting for Wall Street in East Coast boardrooms,” said Democratic Party of New Mexico Spokesperson Daniel Garcia. “New Mexico voters will see through the buzzwords and footage of the Sandia Mountains, and recognize the lack of substance and accountability is actually pretty embarrassing.”

Nella’s first ad also conveniently glossed over her abysmal business record at Bridgewater Associates, well known for its connection to scandal-ridden GOP candidate for Pennsylvania Senate David McCormick.

Under Nella’s tenure as Chief Financial Officer, the company invested in Chinese companies later sanctioned by the U.S., had troubling ties to Russia and Vladimir Putin, and was plagued by scandals over workplace discrimination, illegal labor practices, and sexual harassment.
