
In 2026, New Mexico will hold a statewide primary election. The 2026 Primary will be a semi-open, meaning Decline to State voters can decide which party primary they want to participate in. During the primary, voters select candidates from their political party to appear on the general election ballot. Offices on the ballot include federal, state, and local positions. Information about how to register to vote, update your registration, or request an absentee ballot will be available through official state and county election offices.
