Who: NARAL Pro-Choice New Mexico’s Santa Fe Choice Action Team 

What: Meeting to plan local strategies for standing up to the Supreme Court’s recent federal abortion ban decision. 

When: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 from 5:30-7pm

Where: Women’s Health Services Center (Solana Center, 901 W. Alameda) 

Why: The Supreme Court is stripping away women’s access to safe, legal abortion and it is time for pro-choice New Mexicans, like you, to take action! 

The Choice Action Team (CAT) is a key component of our efforts to organize our state community by community, county by county until we have an active pro-choice majority that can counter the continuing attacks on a woman's right to choose.  We must stand up to the Supreme Court and communicate that it is unacceptable to play the role of doctor and interfere with women’s reproductive health.  More than ever, we need your support to continue to build the pro-choice movement and inspire pro-choice New Mexicans to make a difference in their communities.  Come meet other activists, share ideas, and most importantly, ORGANIZE!

The Choice Action Team is already helping create and implement strategic plans to protect choice and establish an effective long lasting activist base in New Mexico.  Members of the Choice Action Team are a voice for choice on critical issues such as family planning funding, sex education, access to birth control and basic reproductive healthcare.    

Our meeting on Wednesday, July 18 will focus on the Federal Abortion Ban and how our community can respond.  Women’s health and privacy are in jeopardy as a result of the Supreme Court’s decision.  Our sisters, daughters and granddaughters are counting on us to preserve the right to choose.  Please call Tara Misra,
