*** IMPORTANT UPDATE ***
Special State Central Committee Meeting --
September 2, 2010

Dear {FirstName},

As you are aware, there will be a special State Central Committee meeting on
September 2, 2010.

Previously, we had sent the Call and Proxy forms for this meeting to all
members of the SCC.  We did this as a courtesy, so all members of this
body would know of the actions taken at the meeting.

The Call reflects two main actions the committee would take, namely placing two
names on the ballot for the November elections.

The first, Judicial District 5, affecting ChavesEddy and Lea Counties
will still occur as previously stated.

The other position, namely PEC Disctrict 5, is not an action the
SCC can take upon itself because it is not a vacancy, and not under the perview
of DPNM Rule 13.1.  Rather the position is termed out, and since no
candidate properly filed for the position with the Secretary of State's office,
the position will be filled by the next Governor of New Mexico.

Therefore, only SCC members from Chaves, Eddy and Lea counties will be counted
in determining quorum for the action taken.  All members of the SCC are
welcome to attend, but attendance/proxies are not needed unless you are from
Chaves, Eddy or Lea Counties.

Previously, the
meeting had been scheduled to take place at the Plumbers & Pipefitters Hall
in Albuquerque. It has now been moved to the Carlsbad Public Library in order to better serve the SE SCC members.

We are sorry for the
miscommunication and any inconvenience this has caused.  There will be a
full meeting of the SCC on September 25, 2010 in Albuquerque, and a Call will
be issued in the near future announcing its location.

If you have any questions please feel free to call John Dyrcz, Director of
Party Affairs, at the State Headquarters at 505-830-3650.
