On February 9, Democratic Women of Sandoval County will host a Forum for Candidates for Chair of the Democratic Party of New Mexico and for Sandoval County Democrats. We have invited the three candidates who have expressed interest in running for chief executive of the DPNM (Javier Gonzales, Sam Bregman, and Letitia Montoya) to speak with us.

The DPNM Chair presides over all meetings of the State Central Committee, the State Executive Committee, and the State Resolutions Committee, and participates in the proceedings of all other committees. The Chair manages all party affairs and election campaigns and has power to appoint any committees which the Chairperson deems necessary, or which the State Central Committee may authorize. The Chair also serves on the Democratic National Committee and has primary responsibility for implementation of the Affirmative Action Plan. Democratic Women of Sandoval County meets Second Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at Bernalillo Town Council Chambers, 829 Camino del Pueblo. Members and guests meet informally for refreshments at 6:30,followed by program at 7 and then a short business meeting.
